Overview
Tyson Smith, better known by his ring name Kenny Omega, is a Canadian professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which he helped found in 2019, where he is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion.
He is also known for his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) from 2010 to 2019, where he rose to prominence as the leader of Bullet Club, was a one-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, a one-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, a one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, the inaugural and two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion, a two-time NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champion, and in 2016 became the first non-Japanese wrestler ever to win the G1 Climax tournament.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation, Omega has been praised by fans and critics for his athleticism, storytelling, innovation, and elite big-match performances, earning the nickname “The Best Bout Machine.” He is also known for blending his passion for video games into his persona through entrances, gear, references, and performances inspired by gaming culture.
