Her mother was a painter and her father Michalis Vourtsis a conductor, one of the founders of the Opera in 1942. Her family settled from Odessa in Athens. Several years later, she made some appearances on television, such as in the state television series Odos Antheon (1987-1988), in the Mega Channel comedy series Eliza and the Others, as well as in the Mega Channel series Seven Deadly Mother-in-Laws. She had a leading role in the Mega Channel series 1 meios e otso, where she played the mother of Anna (Zeta Douka). As in 2008-2011, she played in the series I polikatoikia, as Panagiota Petrocheilou. In the 2004 theatrical winter, she appeared at the Veaki Theater in the performance Ta brembere petheanou orthia. The reviews were very good. She also appeared at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in July 2005 and in June 2006 in William Shakespeare's tragedy Coriolanus as part of the Athens Festival.
