Yuu Kou (紅優, Kō Yū, born 1960) is a Japanese animator and anime director from Osaka Prefecture. His real name is Shigeru Morikawa (森川滋, Morikawa Shigeru). In the 1990s, he also used under the name Yumekichi Minatoya (湊屋夢吉, Minatoya Yumekichi). He has been working as an animation director since the late 1980s.
