Frozenbyte

Frozenbyte Inc. is a Finnish game-developer founded in 2001. It is one of the first third-party developers on Steam, and they developed console launch titles for PlayStation 4, Nvidia’s Shield Tablet, and Nintendo Switch. It usually focuses on action games production, but sometimes creates other genres like stealth (Shadwen released in 2016). The first original Frozenbyte commercial game is Shadowgrounds (2005) for Windows and its sequel Shadowgrounds Survivor (2007) for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Both are top-down shooters where the players have to fight against the alien onslaught. It is also famous for the Trine series, consisting released for a bunch of different platforms. It is an action platform-puzzle where the players switch between three different characters, a thief, a knight, and a wizard to complete tasks and fight off enemies.
