505 Games Srl is an Italian video game publisher and developer based in Milan and a subsidiary of Digital Bros. S.p.A. It is mostly known for publishing games in various genres for different platforms including home consoles, handheld consoles, and mobile devices. In 2015 the company was awarded as the Best Indie Games Label at the MCV Awards. As a game developer, the company has mostly been making casual games for Nintendo’s DS and Wii consoles. It has not been releasing any self-developed games since 2011. The first 505’s game was an online version of classic arcade Bust-a-Move. The company has made numerous brain training games that revolve around spelling and grammar, the most notable of which is Spellbound series. In 2008 the company helped Taito developing Furu Furu Park for Wii, a minigame collection inspired by classic Taito arcade games.
